"Uitspanning de Oase" was run by the Kol family from 1983 to 2020. After the restaurant closed for almost six months, Danique van der Kuijl took over the business and changed the name to Pancake House de Oase. "I come from a true hospitality family and couldn't let go of the dream of opening my own business. I was previously known in Haarlem as Mrs. Pancake, but I couldn't let the opportunity to take over De Oase pass me by. I sold my business and enthusiastically embarked on this new adventure." After breathing new life into the restaurant with the necessary renovations and updates, we were ready to open!

There's a lovely playground on the outdoor grounds, and on colder days, you can of course play indoors in the children's corner. There's also a partially heated terrace for colder days where you can enjoy a delicious hot chocolate milk and a pancake in peace. We prepare our pancakes according to our own secret recipe with fresh, free-range eggs from the farm. Naturally, we also have options for those with gluten and/or lactose allergies.
